North Brooklyn Angels has shown up for our neighbors since 2017, through a pandemic, an affordability crisis, and everything in between. We started with a single mobile soup kitchen running three days a week. Today, steady donor support has helped us grow into something none of us fully imagined at the start: 2,000 free hot meals a week across fifteen distributions, a year-round baby gear program that has served 75+ North Brooklyn families since launching in 2025, and a brand new affordable housing navigation initiative helping longtime residents stay in the neighborhoods they built.
That growth doesn’t happen without infrastructure: a fleet of vehicles that runs seven days a week, commercial kitchen facilities, food purchasing, insurance, supplies, and the small but dedicated paid team that coordinates it all. Some of our food comes from partners who share our mission. Our gear comes from neighbors giving back to neighbors. And our 950+ annual volunteers give their time, their energy, and their care to this community in ways that can’t be quantified. But the operation that makes all of it move, reliably, every single day, rain or shine, runs on the support of donors like you.
